Gold Price Today: Yellow metal prices saw marginal rise on Wednesday
After remaining low for the past few days, gold prices on Wednesday witnessed a spurt, as on the MCX, gold August futures were trading at Rs 49,155 per 10 gram. Silver July futures also were up at Rs 71,366 per kg.
The jump in gold prices, though marginal, was mainly due to a fall in US bond yields which were helped by yellow metal prices. Also with the US inflation data to be announced this week, investors across the globe have been quite conservative as far as making long term bets are concerned.

Gold, silver prices fell today in India
Gold prices in India fell on Tuesday with futures on MCX by 0.19 per cent to Rs 48,420 per 10 gram. In the previous session, gold was Rs 92.0 per 10 gram.
On MCX, silver futures plunged nearly 0.5 per cent or Rs 357.4 per kg to the price level of Rs 71,475 per kg.

The gold spot price today were Rs 47,000 and remained unchanged since Monday, while global spot prices saw a downturn of $0.9 to $1879.3 value today. However, a decrease was observed in MCX future price of Rs 92.0 with value of Rs 48,420 on Tuesday.

Gold Price in India: Amid declining prices of the yellow metal, domestic gold futures witnessed a volatile trading session on Wednesday, February 17. In the national capital, gold rates plunged Rs 717 to Rs 46,102 per 10 gm amid a decline in global precious metal prices, according to HDFC Securities. Silver prices also slipped by Rs 1,274 to Rs 68,239 per kg, as compared to the previous close of Rs 69,513. Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) gold futures, due for an April 5 delivery, was last seen trading 0.84 per cent lower at Rs 46,505, having swung between Rs 46,240 and Rs 46,800 during the session compared to their previous close of Rs 46,899. Gold Price in India: Domestic gold futures registered a highly volatile trading session on Friday, January 15, as the prices witnessed a steep decline post-mid-session gains, diving below Rs 49,000 level. Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX) gold futures, due for a February 5 delivery, were last seen trading lower by 1.12 per cent - at Rs 48,668, having swung between Rs 48,544 and Rs 49,327 during the session compared to their previous close of Rs 49,221. Domestic spot gold closed at Rs 49,327 per 10 grams on Friday, and silver at Rs 65,420 per kilogram - both rates excluding GST, according to Mumbai-based industry body India Bullion and Jewellers Association (IBJA).
