Current and former NFL players praised Dak Prescott for finally agreeing a long-term extension with the Dallas Cowboys, which will make him the second-highest paid player in the league.
The Cowboys announced on Monday they had signed Prescott to a four-year extension, bringing protracted negotiations that began over 12 months finally to an end.
While the franchise is yet to formally announce the terms of the contract, ESPN and NFL Network both reported Prescott s deal is worth $160 million over four years, making it the second-biggest in the NFL behind the 10-year deal worth up to $500 million Patrick Mahomes signed with the Kansas City Chiefs last year.
The New York Giants are expected to use the franchise tag on Leonard Williams for the second straight year in order to keep him from hitting free agency.

What does Gettleman need to accomplish to crush this off-season and free agency in particular? Here is our proposed free-agency plan that, if the Giants can check all these boxes, will help create a roster that will be worlds better than the one they had last year.
Disclaimer: The author realizes that the 2021 are probably going to be burning in Salary Cap Hell and can’t pony up much money for free agents. However, you never know what they have planned and it’s the author’s responsibility to highlight the free agent options.
The Steelers have good receivers and draft the position well, But JuJu Smith-Schuster is a free agent and may not be retained. If he doesn’t come back, a lot of the guys on the top of the charts won’t be coming in. But bargains could be found out there with players like Golden Tate now on the market. Should the Steelers decide that they need to address the position in free agency, this is who is looking for a deal at the position.
