We take a look back at some of the dads who went before court in 2020: Nathan Bradley •A Tuntable Falls man has been sentenced for possessing unregistered firearms in his shed, which is located only metres away from where his children sleep. Nathan Bradley was convicted in Lismore District Court earlier in September for possessing an unregistered pistol, possessing unauthorised firearms and possessing ammunition without a permit.

Man sentenced for using knife in North Coast street brawl

Daniel Caine Holland appeared in Tweed Heads Court on Monday by videolink from custody in Clarence Correctional Centre. He pleaded guilty to charges of affray, using an offensive weapon to commit an indictable offence, damaging property and failing to appear. Court documents revealed the Tweed Heads South man had stayed the night at his partner-of-seven-months house when he woke up early on October 18. When Holland s partner asked him to keep the noise down because of her sleeping grandchild upstairs, he became argumentative and threw her phone at the wall, cracking it.

Accused drunk driver s case referred to serious collision unit

Premium Content Subscriber only MORE charges have been foreshadowed for a Tweed Heads woman accused of causing a serious car crash that allegedly grievously injured another woman. Samantha Jane Higgins, 44, appeared in Tweed Heads Local Court on Monday. Represented by defence solicitor Jacinta Raven, Ms Higgins faces five charges including high range drink driving, driving recklessly and dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm from an incident on Dry Dock Rd in Tweed Heads South between 2.15pm and 2.25pm on August 30. She has not yet entered pleas. Police prosecutor Val Short said the incident had been referred to the serious motor vehicle collision unit and more charges could be forthcoming.
