They say it takes a village . but in this case, it took several counties and a lot of kind hearted good people from all over Ireland to grant a very sick woman and her beautiful daughter a bit of comfort in their time of need.

Boyne Fishermen s Rescue and Recovery Service have worked tirelessly during the entire pandemic crisis, going above and beyond their normal essential services, and just before Christmas, its members decided to give something extra back within the community.
The hardworking volunteers had raised some money over the previous weeks and decided to purchase various gifts, sweets and accessories for the residents of St Mary s Nursing Home on the Dublin Road.
Santa visited the home, following strict COVID-19 guidelines and gifted each resident a special present and Christmas card, including all the dedicated staff.
