Coronation Street s Sharon Bentley continued her secret scheming tonight (April 28), as she works with her drug dealing nephew Harvey Gaskell while he s in prison.
In the first of tonight s episodes, Sharon bonded with Nick Tilsley s young son Sam Blakeman, when she realised how much he missed his dad. She told him that he could always come to her if he needed to talk.
In the second episode, after Sam talked about how Leanne Battersby recently lost her own son Oliver, Sharon promised to help set up a secret meeting between Sam and Nick, and then threw him a birthday party.

The revelation that Sharon Bentley (Tracie Bennett) returned to Coronation Street on a secret mission set by her drug dealer nephew Harvey Gaskell (Will Mellor) to track down Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) stunned viewers, and in the coming weeks they’ll see just how far she’s prepared to go as she sets her sights on innocent young Sam Blakeman (Jude Riordan) to get what she wants.

Lee is in hiding with lover Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) and son Simon Barlow (Alex Bain), having worked as a police informant to expose Harvey’s narcotics network, and Sharon is back in Weatherfield pretending she wants to reconnect with former foster mum Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox).
OUTshine Film Festival is South Florida s premiere showcase for LGBTQ+ films producing a large scale festival in Miami (April) and Fort Lauderdale (October). The 23rd edition of OUTshine - Miami will take place from April 22 - May 2, 2021. OUTshine is committed to its mission: To inspire, entertain and educate the public, encourage a sense of community through international and culturally diverse film, video and other media that offer historical and contemporary perspectives on the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender experience.
The festival has grown from a three-day event in which 25 films were presented to the current format of 10 days with 65+ films. There is special emphasis on highlighting and premiering the best GLBT Spanish language films. As with almost all film festivals, OUTshine is virtual except the closing night which will include an outdoor screening event at the Miami Beach Botanical Garden.
Tracie Bennett is worried. She fears that, having returned to
Coronation Street as the perennially troublesome Sharon Bentley after a 22-year absence, she will soon be, “The most hated person in Britain”. It is true that diehard fans of the soap will thoroughly disapprove of Sharon’s actions. She has come back to the Street, where she has more enemies than friends, under false pretences.
