1. That winnin’ feeling
It’s been four years since Oregon State finished a season with a win. In fact, since 2008, only twice has Oregon State ended the season with a win (2013, 2016). If ever there were a season to leave on a high note, this is it. It won’t make up for the lost opportunities, but it will give players and coaches a good feeling heading into the holidays. It also gives the Beavers a little extra evidence that they’re on the right track.

The Beavers secondary picked up another new member today, with 3 Star recruit Arnez Madison signing his NLI to Oregon State. Madison currently attends Manual Arts Senior High School in Los Angeles.
Madison, 6-2 and 170 lbs, plays Wide Receiver and Cornerback. He was recruited by Beavers’ Defensive Backs Blue Adams to play for that unit. He is rated 3 stars by the 247 composite, and the 146th best Cornerback in the country. He was also offered by Boise State, Central Michigan, Fresno State and Kansas.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. In the COVID-crazy 2020 season that was FBS College Football, no true freshman walk-on quarterback had to start a game, until New Mexico lost every one of its quarterbacks. Isaiah Chavez, who was the fifth-string quarterback on the roster in the preseason, not only started against Fresno State in the season finale, but he was just about perfect. He went 14-for-18 for 196 yards and a touchdown, and he rushed for 95 yards and another touchdown as UNM rolled to its highest Mountain West point total in 21 games, winning 49-39 to end its season on a two game winning streak.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (WLOX) - The Southern Miss football team wrapped up its campaign on Thursday night, ending the regular season with a bang, as the Golden Eagles went off for a season-high 45 points in a victory over Florida Atlantic.
Trey Lowe began the year as the team’s third string quarterback, but got the starting nod on Thursday, and accounted for 279 total yards and three total touchdowns. Biloxi’s Tim Jones hauled in six catches for 65 yards and a score, and the USM offense outgained FAU by nearly 200 yards.
