Melbourne have stood up in their biggest game of the season to date, reaffirming themselves as the team to beat this year with another big win over a strong club, this time the reigning premiers by 44 points.
Nathan Jones was regularly applauded by the Melbourne faithful in his 300th for acts as simple as coming off or going on. The passion and excitement from the red and blue crowd was something unseen since the 2018 season or perhaps even longer.
And despite being one of the loudest cheer squads in the country, the Richmond voice from the crowd was near nothing in comparison.
