Truman Medical Centers: Regular testing hours are weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon. Both Truman Medical Centers sites – the Lakewood Campus at 7900 Lee’s Summit Road and the Hospital Hill site at 2301 Holmes Road. TMC will provide testing, but only for persons who are experiencing at least one COVID-19 symptom. For any person’s first COVID-19 test, there will be no charge. Please call 816-404-CARE (2273) before arriving at the testing location.

Jan. 21 JEFFERSON CITY Missouri plans to establish mass coronavirus vaccination sites across the state, even as top officials acknowledge demand for shots far exceeds supply.
The state Department of Health and Senior Services, with assistance from the Missouri National Guard, will set up nine sites one in each Highway Patrol region and will deploy vaccination teams to areas where access to the sites may be limited.
The operation, announced by Gov. Mike Parson on Wednesday, may help boost vaccinations in the weeks and months ahead. But for now, by Parson s own admission, the number of doses coming into Missouri remains extremely limited.

HE SAYS TEACHERS WANTING THE SHOT WILL WORK THROUGH THEIR DISTRICT TO GET IT. THEY WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR GETTING TEACHERS TO THE VACCINATION

A day after state education officials expressed frustration with the slow rollout of coronavirus vaccines for teachers, Kansas City Public Schools announced most employees will be able to get vaccinated next month.
KCPS is partnering with Truman Medical Centers to provide the vaccines, Superintendent Mark Bedell said at a school board meeting Wednesday. The CEO of Truman Medical Centers, Charlie Shields, wants to get students back in school as soon as possible because he’s also the president of the Missouri State Board of Education.
