90% of tourism workers in Hanoi lose jobs in first half of 2021

Some 90% of workers of travel companies in Hanoi, equivalent to over 12,000 people, have lost their jobs since early this year, according to the Hanoi Department of Tourism.

Hanoi’s authorities plan to open another pedestrian street around Thien Quang Lake in Hai Ba Trung District.
At a meeting with Hai Ba Trung District’s authorities on Wednesdays, the municipal Party Secretary Vuong Dinh Hue agreed the district’s proposal on the establishment of a pedestrian street around Thien Quang Lake to help develop the local tourism sector.

The walking area, which includes part of Tran Nhan Tong Street, will be linked to Thong Nhat Park.
