Conditions could not have been any more perfect for Adrian to celebrate its Cinco de Mayo parade and festivities Saturday.
The celebration in downtown Adrian was the 21st, after last year s was called off because of the pandemic. Social distancing was recognized throughout the day, as was the wearing of face masks.
The parade, which featured more than 50 entrants, traversed down Maumee Street to Dean Street and then to Toledo Street, where celebrations continued in the evening.
The holiday celebrates the Mexican army’s victory over France May 5, 1862, at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War.
