The services will operate on Monday and Friday from 25 June to 27 September on BA CityFlyer’s Embraer E190 aircraft.
‘We’re confident our new route from London City Airport to Guernsey will be popular this summer with customers looking for a UK getaway. And, it’s an honour to be launching the only direct service between Guernsey and Edinburgh this summer,’ said Tom Stoddart, managing director of BA CityFlyer.
British Airways is launching two new routes to Jersey (JER) and Gibraltar (GIB) from London City Airport (LCY).
Operating initially over the summer period, the routes will each be 2X-weekly on Mondays and Fridays from June 25, 2001. BA CityFlyer will operate the services using Embraer E190 aircraft.
“It’s great to be able to launch these two new services to Gibraltar and Jersey it’s something customers have been asking us to do for quite a while,” BA CityFlyer MD Tom Stoddart said.
He added the routes would benefit leisure, VFR and business travelers.
“This service will complement BA’s mainline services from Heathrow and the local business and financial services community will undoubtedly welcome a link to London’s financial district,” Gibraltar’s minister for business, tourism and transport Vijay Daryanani said.

Customers benefit from British Airways’ flexible booking policy, offering customers no change fees or a voucher exchange for bookings made for travel before the end of April 2022, giving customers a large variety of options should their plans change.

British Airways has announced plans for a new service linking Gibraltar to London City Airport.
The new route will launch on June 25 and initially operate twice weekly over the summer period on Mondays and Fridays.
The airline said it would offer an important link for business travellers, holiday makers and those visiting friends and relatives as Covid regulations ease, as well as for cargo.
In a statement, the airline said it will also launch a twice-weekly service to Jersey from London City Airport.
