GRANTS PASS, Ore On Saturday, the Grants Pass Police Department hosted a fundraiser event, dubbed Dunk a Cop for Special Olympics Oregon. The event was in the parking lot next to the Dutch Bros coffee stand located near 6th and G Streets in downtown Grants Pass.
Because of current state of emergency, the in-person Polar Plunge for 2021 had to be held, as the police department called it, Brrr-tually . According to Grants Pass Police, the team had to get creative this year to try to raise funds. To do this the department says that it decided to put their volunteer dunkers, hovering over a freezing tank of water.
