Duran Duran Guitarist Dom Brown, faced with finishing his debut album under lockdown, says the secret to perfect studio sound is Dirac Live, a cutting-edge room correction solution.
Brown, who has collaborated with artists and producers including Mark Ronson, Justin Timberlake and Liam Gallagher, put the finishing touches on a new solo album,
In My Bones, in his London studio. As part of the final mix, everything went through a miniDSP SHD processor with Dirac Live room correction.
“Whenever my studio (pictured below) is running, Dirac is running,” Brown says. “It has really helped me in my mix process because I can hear things more clearly. I’m not getting any colourisation from the room and I can get a truer representation of what’s going down. It’s massively helpful.”
FORSYTH COUNTY, Ga. â Forsyth County has proposed a change in how it designates a âlot of record,â for properties that were recorded before it formally adopted its unified development code.
If approved, the change would allow certain properties to be developed as they were recorded, through a land survey or another avenue, between Sept, 24, 1973, to May 22, 2000.
Currently, if a plat was recorded in 1995, for example, but was not formally approved by the county, it would not be recognized. A new plat would have to be recorded following current zoning standards.
If the proposed change is approved, the county would now recognize that lot as valid, and it could be developed without further approval from the county, Planning and Community Development Director Tom Brown said.
