Kendra Scott on Monday announced that she has stepped down as CEO of her namesake fashion accessories company, according to a press release. Scott will continue to serve as executive chairwoman and majority owner.
Tom Nolan has been promoted to the CEO role effective immediately. Nolan previously served in senior leadership roles at Ralph Lauren and Condé Nast, and was the founder and CEO of Prospect Brands.
Nolan joined Kendra Scott s board in 2014, became the company s chief revenue and marketing officer in 2016, and in 2019 was promoted to president.

The Austin-based jewelry designer announced that Tom Nolan, who has served as president of Kendra Scott since 2019, will take over as chief executive. Nolan first joined Kendra Scott in 2016 as board member before taking over as chief revenue officer in 2016. His cornerstone projects with the company include the Kendra Scott flagship on South Congress Avenue and helping launch the Kendra Scott Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute, a multi-disciplinary program designed to empower women in business at the University of Texas at Austin.

Scott will remain majority owner and continue “to lead design, customer experience and philanthropy” as executive chairwoman.
Nolan will move up to CEO from president after seven years in which the company has experienced significant growth. Kendra Scott was valued at more than $1 billion in 2017 when Boston-based Berkshire Partners became a minority investor.
