A fundraiser to take the smelly quarry fiasco to court has passed its halfway point.
Walleys Quarry in Silverdale has made continuous national headlines for the rotten egg emanating from the site.
Residents have complained thousands of times and the Health Secretary Matt Hancock has recently written to the Environment Agency (EA) to express grave concerns .

The company running the Silverdale site - plagued with a stench that has made national headlines and drawn thousands of complaints from local families - says it has capped off part of the site.
Some locals describe is as like old, used nappies . Others like faeces .

Families have united to raise money for air purifiers to help people cope with the stench from a landfill site.
Residents living near Walleys Quarry, in Silverdale, have so far been able to buy around 60 of the purifiers to distribute within the local community.
