Dulwich are in the National League South, the sixth tier of English football.
In February they told the National League that playing the rest of its games could put the “long-term future of the 128-year-old club at risk” due to the cost of fulfilling fixtures, adding that the matches could also put staff and players at risk of contracting Covid-19.
The National League said in a statement on Friday afternoon that several clubs had been fined between £1,400 and £8,000 for not playing matches.
“Given the extremely unusual circumstances that have affected football at all levels and the financial pressures the absence of spectators has brought to bear on clubs, the panel expressed its sympathy with the clubs’ predicament,” the league said in a statement.
