Directed by King and featuring a screenplay by Powers, the movie follows a young Cassius Clay (before he became Muhammad Ali) as he emerges from the Miami Beach Convention Center the new World Heavyweight Boxing Champion. Joining Odom and Eli Goree, who plays Cassius Clay, on screen are Kingsley Ben-Adir as Malcolm X, and Aldis Hodge as Jim Brown. Rounding out the cast are

Warner Bros. announced on Wednesday that it has greenlit three tentpole films to enter preproduction: the “Mad Max: Fury Road” spinoff “Furiosa,” the Warner Animation Group live-action/animated hybrid “Coyote vs. Acme,” and an adaptation of the Broadway musical version of “The Color Purple.”
“Furiosa” will be a prequel to “Fury Road” that explores the past of the heroine made famous by Charlize Theron in the Oscar-winning 2015 action film. Anya Taylor-Joy will play a younger Furiosa and star alongside Chris Hemsworth and Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. “Mad Max” creator George Miller returns as writer/director/producer, and the film is set for release on June

Historically, the Black actor has dared to challenge the stereotypes of what it means to be a Black man in a White world. This list contains icons like Harry Belafonte, Ossie Davis, and Sidney Poitier, who heroically raised their voices in the battle for Civil Rights. It also praises the new superstars like Idris Elba, Donald Glover, and Michael B. Jordan, who are redefining the image of the Hollywood leading man.

The Dallas Symphony is one of the few professional orchestras in the country performing its season in a concert hall, before a live audience, through the pandemic.
After months of COVID-19 concert cancellations, Dallas Symphony musicians like Emily Levin, the orchestra’s principal harpist, were ready for some return to normal.
“Being able to play in orchestra again, there really aren’t words to describe it,” Levin said, “You know, it’s your livelihood, it’s your career, your passion. You don’t do it to make a lot of money, you do it because you love it.”
