Presumably, Paul Mescal will get some class of All-Star for services to selling togs. The families of former Irish tennis star and retired businessman Peter Ledbetter, and horse racing magnate JP McManus, have been rocked by the sudden death of Mr Ledbetterâs daughter Emma, who was married to Mr McManusâs son, John McManus.
Ms McManus (40) died on Wednesday morning after falling ill at a private villa on the grounds of the luxury Sandy Lane resort, Barbados, purchased in the late 1990s by JP McManus, financier Dermot Desmond, and horse breeder John Magnier.
Members of the McManus and Ledbetter families had flown to the eastern Caribbean island to celebrate Christmas and New Yearâs Eve together, in what has been a long-standing family tradition.

Racing magnate JP McManus was comforting his eldest son John last night after the sudden death of his wife, aged just 40.
Emma McManus died yesterday morning after suddenly becoming ill and being rushed to a medical centre in Barbados.
The McManuses had been enjoying a Christmas break staying in a private villa in the grounds of the family’s luxury Sandy Lane resort.
Back in Limerick, family friend Declan Moylan said last night: ‘I’ve just heard it two minutes ago from my daughter, terrible news, unbelievable
‘They’re pretty shaken up by it, it’s unbelievable.
‘Oh my God, terrible. I don’t know how John is, I just got a quick phone call.’
