In Brooklyn, a Dec. 11 downtown protest that began at housing court made the just demand to stop all evictions during the twin pandemics of COVID and joblessness. Ralliers were met by violence and arrests by the NYPD. The crowd of about 50 people faced dozens of police, two helicopters and at least ten police vans. Cops put 20 people in jail, one of them an 80-year-old woman.

There will be no parking on public roads in the town of East Greenbush for the duration the snow emergency.  Vehicles parked on public roads may be ticketed and towed.  Please ensure all trash cans, refuse containers, and basketball hoops are at least four feet in from the edge of pavement. Please be aware that the Highway Department has two plow trucks being repaired and the cleanup may take longer than usual and we appreciate your patience, according to  Fiacco.

Deane St. on Sunday (Dec. 13) at approximately 12:43 a.m.  Upon arrival, officers found a 32-year-old unresponsive man, later identified as Cameron Johnson, in a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The initial investigation revealed that the man sustained multiple gunshot wounds, according to Sgt. Tony Murphy with the Fayetteville Police Department.

Man arrested for stealing $70K bracelet from Underwoods Jewelers

Stolen Property under $1,000 Conspiracy to Commit a Felony Fugitive from Justice According to police, just after 12 p.m. Friday (Dec. 4) a man walked into Underwoods Fine Jewelers on Dickson Street and stole a bracelet estimated to be worth $70,000.  According to Sgt. Tony Murphy, the man came in and posed as a customer interested in the piece of jewelry, then grabbed it and ran. He did not appear to have any weapons or use any kind of force.  No one was injured during the robbery.  Riverside Street Crimes Unit (RSCU) out of Tulsa located the bracelet stolen from Underwoods in Fayetteville on 29-year-old Danielle Chadwell-Gilmore s wrist during a search of Gilmore s home. Police were there serving a search warrant after Gilmore was identified as a suspect for stealing other pieces of expensive jewelry across Oklahoma.
