Kyle Beckerman announces retirement, ends 21-year playing career

Real Salt Lake legend Kyle Beckerman has officially announced his retirement from his playing career, the club announced today in a press release.
Beckerman’s career started in 2000 at Miami Fusion. He joined Colorado Rapids in 2002, where he played until he joined Real Salt Lake in mid-2007. His career ends with one MLS Cup, won in 2009 with Real Salt Lake, and 498 regular season MLS games under his belt.

HERIMMAN, UTAH (Friday, December 18, 2020) – Real Monarchs have signed New Zealand forward Max Mata from Grasshoppers Club Zurich in Switzerland through the 2021 season. Mata’s signing is pending league and federation approval, as well as the approval of a p-1 visa. The terms of the signing have not been disclosed.
Mata, 20, is the first-ever signing from New Zealand for the Monarchs. The young forward arrives in the States from Switzerland where he spent time with the second tier of Grasshopper, scoring five goals in 10 appearances. During the 2019 season he played on loan with Nõmme Kalju FC in Estonia, racking up 11 goals and six assists in just 20 matches.
HERIMMAN, UTAH (Wednesday, December 16, 2020) – Real Monarchs have signed Colombian centerback Kevin Saucedo from Colombian Categoria Primera A side Millonarios F.C. through the 2021 season. Saucedo’s signing is pending league and federation approval, as well as the approval of his P-1 visa. The terms of the signing have not been disclosed.

Autonomous vehicle start-up Aurora is acquiring Uber’s self driving unit, Uber Advanced Technologies Group. Under the deal, Uber is reportedly giving up its equity in ATG, along with investing $400 million in Aurora in exchange for a 26 percent share in Aurora.
Gerardo Interiano, Vice President of Government Relations at Aurora’s Pittsburgh office, says the deal creates an opportunity for Aurora to become stronger.
