Updated: 5:17 AM EST Feb 2, 2021 A fire burned Monday afternoon under a bridge near the Cherrydale area of Greenville sending smoke billowing along Poinsett Highway. (Video from viewer Carlos Quintanilla Argueta above /// Sky 4 video of aftermath below) The fire happened about 2 p.m. on the Fulton H. Anthony Memorial Bridge near the Jack in the Box restaurant. The Parker Fire Department said it was a large trash fire under the bridge. Donnie Tucker, the deputy fire chief, said a homeless population lives under the bridge. He said there were some kerosene containers under the bridge but he was not sure if that is what started the fire. Viewers sent us video and pictures of smoke billowing in the area.
