AIDS Walk: Live at Home 2021, a May 16 virtual fundraiser that will serve as the centerpiece of six AIDS Walk events all over the U.S.
In 1991, Elton helped launch the first AIDS Walk in Atlanta, and in 1992, he founded the Elton John AIDS Foundation; David is now the chairman of its Board of Trustees. Elton and David have both worked tirelessly to not just raise money for research and education, but to raise awareness about why itâs so important to end HIV/AIDS, and support those who have it.

Thirty years on, the 1990s has solidified its stature as one of the magical decades in filmmaking, much like how we view the ’30s and the ’70s. Precisely, this Gen X-decade pulled together the Hollywood studio power of the ’30s and the groundbreaking creativity of the ’70s, crocheting commercialism and art into the movie behemoths we speak of in legend as the ’90s blockbuster which we’ve now ranked all by Tomatometer!

MPTF (Motion Picture & Television Fund) last week hosted a very special virtual press conference to kick off their 100th Anniversary Campaign, revealing how MPTF plans to build its foundation for the next 100 years to support working and retired industry members.
Just days after being honored with the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award at the Oscars, MPTF President and CEO Bob Beitcher was joined by Yvette Nicole Brown (MPTF NextGen Board of Directors), George Clooney (MPTF Board of Directors), Jodie Foster (Supporter of MPTF), Jim Gianopulos (Chairman – MPTF Board of Directors), Tony Goldwyn (MPTF Board of Governors), and Jeffrey Katzenberg (Chairman – MPTF Board of Governors, MPTF Board of Directors) to highlight the importance of the organization and the ways in which this ambitious fundraising campaign will help to build a future for those in the industry for the next 100 years.
