Unicomer (St. Vincent) Limited continues to demonstrate its commitment to the community and people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines by assisting over 20 charitable organisations and emergency shelters and helping over 30,000 displaced Vincentians, since the eruption of the Soufriere Volcano.
Organisations such as the Rillan Hill Shelter, Belmont Shelter, Golden Years Activity Centre and noted activist Donnie Collins from Solutions in Motion, all benefited from donations of mattresses, cots, food supplies, potable water, small appliances and cash donations.

New research has revealed that many New Zealand
businesses are left in the dark around how to make their
workplaces earthquake safe.
“Our larger businesses
are doing very well, but our smaller and medium-sized
businesses could do with more support,” says lead
researcher Dr Tracy Hatton.
Dr Hatton and
co-researchers, Sophie Horsfall from Resilient Organisations
and Toni Collins from the University of Canterbury were
funded by the Earthquake Commission (EQC) to evaluate what
safety measures different organisations were using to reduce
risks and find out whether seismic safety is a priority for
New Zealand businesses.
