But 50 years after its release on Feb. 10, 1971, “Tapestry” stands as an indelible document of soft-rock introspection, with the statistics and accolades four top-20 singles; Grammy Awards for album, record and song of the year; estimated worldwide sales of 30 million copies to ensure it’s still talked about even as hand-me-down vinyl collections have given way to streaming ones and zeroes.
