We’ve been busily preparing for several upcoming events as well as planning for our annual Spring Communitywide Garage Sale on April 3. The news of the reopening of businesses in Texas to 100% will mean our local businesses will be working harder than ever, especially in this busy spring season.  With 34 new businesses having opened their doors since Jan. 1, 2020, Smithville is welcoming new businesses as well as seeing existing businesses expand. On the other side of the positive news, we have many businesses that have struggled to remain open and maintain their staff members during the pandemic. Remember to shop Smithville first.
