Toshiba Unit, Others to Study Offshore Wind Power Generation Toshiba Unit, Others to Study Offshore Wind Power Generation    Tokyo, April 19 (Jiji Press) Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corp. said Monday it has signed a joint research agreement with Tokyo Gas Co. , Japan Renewable Energy Corp., or JRE, and others for offshore wind power generation.    Their research includes finding out the best locations for equipment to improve power generation efficiency and durability, according to a statement released by the Toshiba Corp. subsidiary. Severn Glocon secures LNG contract in Australia Share 19 May 2013 UK-based control valve specialist Severn Glocon has secured a contract to supply 536 engineered control valves for the processing plant on the Ichthys project onshore LNG facilities in Australia. As part of the deal, the company will supply cryogenic valves of up to 42in bore, which weighs about 20t, and valves with pressure ratings of up to 2,500 ANSI. The valves will handle volatile fluids at temperatures below -160°C, and deal with the extreme requirements asociated with cryogenics, thermal dynamics and velocity control. The valves include customised multi-labyrinth trim, which can be used in applications such as compressor anti-surge and gas-to-flare control.

https://www.afinalwarning.com/510015.html (Natural News) Two months ago, millions of Texans shivered under blankets as a historic winter storm drove the state’s power grid to the brink of collapse. Now, Caprock Renewables, a utility-scale developer based in Austin, Texas, is planning to raise equity for a big $500-million portfolio of solar projects in Texas, according to a recent report from  Bloomberg. Thanasis Iatrou, the company’s chief executive officer (CEO), said their portfolio consists of three, build-ready projects in southern Texas. Iatrou also said they have contracted 520 megawatts of capacity to a financial corporation with a tax equity investment accounting for 35 percent of the portfolio’s estimated cost.
