LITCHFIELD – Patricia Goodwin, 77, wife of 51 years to the late Robert E. Goodwin Jr., passed away Saturday, Feb. 6, 2021, at Brandywine Living in Litchfield.
Born in Torrington on Jan. 23, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Rose (Weingart) Mougenot. Pat grew up in Torrington, graduating from Torrington High School with the class of 1961, and went to work at Cramer & Anderson LLP in Litchfield shortly after graduation where she worked as a bookkeeper for over 40 years.
Pat was an active member of Evangelical Baptist Church in Torrington where she worked with the Awana Club, Pioneer Girls, and volunteered her time in many different ways. Between her work and raising an active family of four children, Pat found time to tend her many flower and vegetable gardens on her family’s farm. She canned vegetables and fruit, and created many meals from scratch, adopting the “farm to table” concept long before the phrase “farm to table” became the trend.

Michael J. Litin
WATERBURY – Michael J. Litin, age 56, of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at Saint Mary’s Hospital.
Michael was born on Sept. 6, 1964, in Torrington, Conn., the son of the late Arthur and Judith (Geffner) Litin. He was educated in local schools, graduated from Torrington High School and Central CT State College.
At the time of his passing, he was employed in sales with Hartford Provision Co of South Windsor, and not only loved his profession but very much enjoyed working with his “work” family. His tireless commitment to his job was matched only by his dedication to his family.
