Hoggs Hollow is a beautiful and luxurious Toronto neighbourhood, but also home to one of the city s most unfortunate disasters.
The area is bounded by Yonge Street, York Mills Road, Highland Crescent and Rosedale Golf Club. It s known for its expensive homes, gorgeous landscape and the Hoggs Hollow Disaster of 1960.

The Dr. Seuss books that will no longer be published. All six will be pulled from publication because of racist and insensitive imagery, Dr. Seuss Enterprises said Tuesday.(CBC) The Toronto Public Library is starting a review of the Dr. Seuss books and we, along with other Canadian libraries, will watch that review closely and consider possibly moving some of that content to reference materials. But at this time, the books are going to remain in our collection. We will not promote them on any lists or display them prominently though, Weaver said.

Canadian librarians and educators are reassessing several Dr. Seuss titles that are being pulled from publication because of racist and insensitive imagery.
The business that preserves the legacy of Dr. Seuss says it’s ceasing sales of six titles – including “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street” – that portray people in ways that are hurtful.
In response to the decision, the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board in southern Ontario says it’s removing these “harmful” books from its libraries.
A Toronto Public Library spokeswoman says a group of librarians are reviewing the titles, and if they identify racial or cultural representation concerns may recommend to pull the books from the stacks or move them out of the children’s section.
