The Regina Fire Department is investigating an early Monday morning fire that damaged three homes.
The department says the fire on the 1700 block of Toronto Street just east of the downtown core off of Saskatchewan Drive just after midnight with the flames spreading to two other homes.
The home where the fire started was destroyed with significant damage occurring in one of the other homes and minor damage at the second home.
Residents of all three homes were outside when firefighters arrived as they managed to get out safely.

A piece of North Bay garden history was torn down Tuesday.
Lori Laporte made the difficult and emotional decision to tear down the old garden centre that was built in 1950 on Toronto Street, located off Ritchie Avenue and Lakeshore Drive.
