Miss Mermaid Wales to take part in Rhyl concert and beach clean

MISS Mermaid Wales to stage a concert in Rhyl to raise donations for a marine conservation charity. Tyler Turner, from Prestatyn, has teamed up with Subculture Events for a series of live performances and displays at the Late Lounge. A beach clean will also take place on the afternoon of the event. Ms Turner, the daughter of Star Wars and Harry Potter actor Spencer Wilding, has used her time as the winner of the national beauty pageant to highlight ecological issues, fundraise for conservation charities and organise beach cleans. She previously said: “I was working as a pool attendant and I was having some financial issues. I was fed up with being an adult and I thought. I want to be a mermaid.”

Sabrina Call, 57, of Watsonville, Calif., died Saturday when her primary parachute and her reserve chute tangled, according to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office. The accident was under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration. In a statement, the agency said skydiving investigations are limited to inspecting the parachute rigging.
