A site where Windsor officials had once hoped a Costco might stand is now being transformed into one of two developments that will bring homes and commercial retail near the Interstate 25 and Colorado Highway 392 interchange.
The interchange was one of three proposed sites for Northern Colorado s first Costco. Instead, the wholesale membership-only warehouse ended up 3 miles north at the I-25 and Harmony Road interchange in Timnath in 2014.
Tom Muth has owned the property since the 1980s, said son Dave Muth, The Group real estate agent who is marketing the development.
The 100-acre Windsor Villages at Ptarmigan at the interchange s northeast corner will include 114 single-family lots, 180-plus multi-family lots and open space, with the remaining 50 acres designed for commercial retail, Dave Muth said.
