Temiskaming OPP investigating suspected overdose death

Article content On February 10th shortly after 3:30 a.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), the OPP Crime Unit, the North East Region (NER) OPP Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), the OPP Forensic Identification Services Unit (FIS) and the Timiskaming District Emergency Medical Service (EMS) responded to a call at a residence on Nickel Street in Cobalt. Further investigation revealed that a 38-year-old person was found unresponsive and a short time after was pronounced deceased from a suspected opioid overdose.
