SAN ANTONIO – Defense attorney Patrick Hancock is sounding off Monday against Manny Pelaez and a letter the councilman sent last week in reference to one of his clients.
Hancock accuses Pelaez of “attempting to inappropriately influence a sitting district judge,” according to a copy of a letter Hancock said he sent to Pelaez on Monday, which was obtained by KSAT 12.
“If the plea bargain does not include imprisonment, then that plea bargain will be perceived by San Antonians as insufficiently serious,” the letter reads.

SAN ANTONIO Tito Bradshaw’s father says the suspected drunk driver responsible for his son’s 2019 death needs to serve time behind bars. But their hope for a trial is fading.
He says a plea deal is in the works.
Harry Bradshaw spoke with KENS 5 about his son’s case. He says the family learned the defendant, Linda Collier Mason, may not serve any jail time. He says the plea deal for Mason is 10 years of probation.

SAN ANTONIO – The recent death of a bicyclist killed in a suspected drunk driving crash is fueling the move to protect bicyclists and pedestrians around the Alamo City.
Grassroots efforts started two years ago, shortly after the death of bicyclist Tito Bradshaw, are now ready to present some ideas for the city to consider in the upcoming bond.
Architect Jim Bailey is one of ten board members with Activate SA, a volunteer group think tank for new active transportation infrastructure. He said drivers must think about just how dangerous it is for those who bike, whether for leisure, exercise or work.
