The Sigourney School District has found their new superintendent. Kevin Hatfield will take the position effective July 1st, as current Superintendent Dave Harper resigned in March to become executive director of the Ottumwa School District. Originally from Davenport, Hatfield received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Northern Iowa. He also obtained his Master’s degree from the University of Iowa and received his Executive Leadership Certification at UNI. He has worked as a teacher and administrator in the Pleasant Valley School District in Bettendorf and served as superintendent for West Branch for seven years. The Sigourney Superintendent position is shared with the Pekin School District.
