Darkside have reconvened, with new album Spiral set to be released next year.
The project hinges on Nicolás Jaar and Dave Harrington, with the pair releasing their debut album together in 2011.
Disbanding in 2014, Darkside is now back, with a full album due out in 2021 via Matador.
Details of Spiral are thin on the ground as yet, but it consists of work recorded between 2018 and late 2019.

Darkside – the collaborative project of Nicolás Jaar and Dave Harrington – have reunited to announce the release of a new album ‘Spiral’.
The duo took to Twitter to announce their return today, ending the indefinite hiatus they announced in 2014. In a statement, Darkside said they met in 2018 for the first time in five years for the purpose of making new music, a goal they achieved in December 2019 when they completed ‘Spiral’.
‘Spiral’ was mixed by Rashad Becker and mastered by Heba Kadry, and is set for release in Spring 2021 on Matador Records.

As Darkside, Jarr and Harrington released their debut EP in 2011, ahead of making their full-length debut with
Psychic in 2013. Towards the end of 2014, the two shared that the project would be coming to an end, for now.

Darkside, the electronic duo comprised of Dave Harrington and Nicolas Jaar, is back. They announced that they’ll be releasing their first new album,
Spiral, next spring. The pair previously put out their debut LP,
Psychic, in 2013.
Spiral has been in the works since 2018, and the album was completed last year under the watchful eye of the duo and engineer Rashad Becker.
