Here at Townsquare Media Owensboro/Evansville, we are excited to announce a brand new campaign that celebrates our local restaurants. Late last year, we celebrated local businesses with our #WeLoveLocal initiative. In March, we re turning our attention specifically to local restaurants with our new #EatLocal campaign.
Here at WBKR, we understand the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on local restaurants. Over the last twelve months, they have been closed at times. They ve had (and still have) their inside dining capacities restricted and so many workers in that industry have had a difficult time navigating the crisis financially. So, as we thaw from winter and look forward to spring (with vaccines and hope for a return to normal on the horizon), we want to celebrate a restaurant rebirth. So, we re encouraging YOU to #EatLocal.

We’ve wrangled up some fun rodeo trivia, answer correctly and you’re headed to the Lone Star Rodeo in Muhlenberg County. Darn tootin’ it happens five times daily.
The Angels for Ashley St. Jude Cookout Thursday and Friday
The WBKR St. Jude Radiothon is coming up Thursday and Friday and you know what that means??!! Jerry Morris and the Angels for Ashley Cooking Team will again be cooking for two consecutive days to help us raise money for St. Jude Children s Research Hospital in Memphis. For the second consecutive year, we ll be set up at Shoe Stop s new location at Wesleyan Park Plaza in the heart of Owensboro and WBKR s Dave Spencer will be there broadcasting live throughout the entire event and giving updates on air during our St. Jude Radiothon.
