New Cisco regional leader as Dave West replaces retiring Miyuki Suzuki

Cisco has appointed Dave West as new president of Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China (APJC), replacing Miyuki Suzuki who is retiring from the technology giant.
Effective immediately, West will also be joined by former regional leader Irving Tan as chairman, who is returning to Singapore after spending more than three years as executive vice president and chief of Operations in the US.

A morning swim in a Western Bay of Plenty waterfall didn t go to plan for one Pāpāmoa woman when she felt razor-like teeth sink into her leg. Now she is warning others of the danger.
Jackie Phillips was swimming with friends early on Saturday morning, January 16, at Raparapahoe Falls, near Te Puke.

ECS has promoted a pair of executives to C-level roles, including one who joined the government IT segment of ASGN through an acquisition.
Fairfax, Virginia-based ASGN said Thursday that former Senior Vice President John Heneghan moved up to chief operating officer, while former Blackstone Federal President Giles Kesteloot was named chief strategy officer.
Heneghan was senior VP of enterprise solutions for nearly three years and will now oversee all aspects of ECS’ customer delivery, business operations and business development functions.
Kesteloot joined ECS last year through the acquisition of Blackstone Federal. He most recently was senior VP of homeland security solutions for ECS.

Cisco has appointed a new president and chairman for its Asia Pacific, Japan and Greater China operations.
Dave West is officially the new president, and Irving Tan is chairman for the company’s business in the region.
West is taking over from Miyuki Suzuki, who has decided to retire after a career spanning nearly four decades.
West has been with Cisco for 20 years and held various leadership roles during that period.
Most recently, he was the head of Cisco Japan, where he launched the Japan Country Digitisation initiative, built important strategic alliances with key Japanese companies, and drove sustained growth in the region.
