After transferring to Totino-Grace last year, the 6-foot-8 wing saw his confidence soar in a bigger role. Now he s among the next in line to break out this summer for a Grassroots Sizzle AAU program once led by Suggs and Holmgren. He s the best prospect in the program right now, Team Sizzle s Brian Sandifer said. His ceiling is so high. He shoots it. He s a big time athlete. And he s starting to understand the sense of urgency he needs to play with.

Cam Heide and Taison Chatman are arguably the top two high school basketball prospects in their respective classes in the state of Minnesota.
They ve also teamed up for the first time in AAU basketball this spring with D1 Minnesota s top 17U squad making its local debut Saturday and Sunday in the Battle at the Lakes tournament at Wayzata High School and other area locations.
Heide, a 6-foot-6 junior wing at Wayzata, will be playing his first local AAU tournament in more than a year after an injury kept him sidelined last summer. Chatman, a 6-4 sophomore point guard from Totino-Grace, is hoping to take his stock and game to another level after playing on D1MN s 16U team last year.

The Gophers were working hard to land North Dakota big man Filip Rebraca, but he announced Thursday on Twitter he ll play for Big Ten rival Iowa next season.
The 6-foot-9 junior from Serbia had been highly touted on the transfer market after averaging 16.8 points, 7.6 rebounds and shooting 37% from three-point range last season for the Fighting Hawks. It was the hardest decision of my life so far, Rebraca told the Star Tribune. I m sorry for everyone who was looking forward to me being a potential Gopher.
Rebraca had a second video conference call with Iowa on Sunday, but he also talked again Monday with new Gophers coach Ben Johnson and his coaching staff, including newly-hired assistants Dave Thorson and Jason Kemp.
