1: Nightflyer. Talk about a song that could have been a massive hit back in the days of the whole Laurel Canyon scene in seventies California. Russell sings with such a smooth soulfulness that you know she isn’t exaggerating when she talks about being a “midnight rider, nightflyer and an angel of the morning too.”
2: Persephone. Blessed with a fluid and flexible instrument, Russell can entirely morph from one song to the next. She is a fully countrified crooner à la Kelly Willis on this celebratory love song. The killer clarinet break is probably courtesy of Russell too.
3: Hy-Brasil. This tune seems to be a variation on a klezmer classic awash in acid rock reverb and then it shifts completely. The ensuing drum-and-voice folk chant that sounds straight out of the Appalachian songbook. It’s a heart-wrenching confessional about soul travelling from bad places.

Tom Wolf s administration announced that event and gathering maximum occupancy limits will be increased next week.Beginning Monday, the maximum occupancy limits in Pennsylvania will be increased to 50 percent for indoor events and gatherings and 75 percent for outdoor events and gatherings.“As more Pennsylvania adults get vaccinated and guidance from the CDC evolves, we can continue to move forward with the commonwealth’s reopening efforts,” said Wolf. “We recognize the significant strain businesses have faced during COVID-19 mitigation efforts. Throughout the last year and half, we have seen businesses continue to put the safety of their patrons first and I believe they will continue to do so even with this capacity increase.”The update will not prevent Pennsylvania municipalities, school districts, restaurants and venues from continuing and implementing stricter mitigation efforts. The mayor of Dover has been missing in action for much of the past year, according to other officials in this city of about 13,000 people 24 miles south of Canton along Interstate 77.
The City Council sent a letter to Mayor Richard Homrighausen in February calling on him to resign, citing declining faith in his ability to lead the city. The mayor has refused to step down. This is a meeting that I absolutely take no joy in presiding over, council President Shane Gunnoe said in February. In fact, I ve said many prayers hoping this meeting would ultimately not be necessary.
