One person was pulled from a burning apartment on Wellington Street North after a fire broke out on Monday night.
Fire crews were called to Wellington Place Apartments around 10:56 p.m. and arrived to find flames on the a 15th floor balcony and lapping over onto other units, said Dave Cunliffe, fire chief, in a media release.

An Oldham College electrical apprentice powered his way to an ‘exceptional performance’ at the Sparks Magazine Learner of the Year 2021 final.
Adam Pitcher, a third year apprentice, started out as one of 62 competitors before surging to a place on the grid for the UK Grand Final (May 20).
Sparks Learner of the Year is a national competition showcasing talented electrical apprentices and giving them a chance to develop their skills, boost confidence – and win prizes.
Adam got to the Grand Final by getting through a circuit of competition rounds.
Two people were rescued and sent to hospital after an east-end fire that spread to multiple buildings.

Two people were rescued and sent to hospital after a structure fire in the city s east end Tuesday that firefighters say spread to multiple buildings.
Dave Cunliffe, Hamilton s fire chief, said first reports of the blaze at 221 Kenilworth Ave. N. between Britannia Avenue and Hope Avenue came in at 3:19 p.m on Tuesday.
