DISCARDED litter and fly tipping have left residents incensed. Gareth Graham, of Lostock Drive, was appalled to discover so much rubbish dumped in Middlewich as he explored the town. The dad-of-three was walking on a footpath near the A54 with his son Ieuan when they came across mounds of waste. The pair were so infuriated, they filled two bin bags with rubbish. Ieuan, seven, a member of the local Beaver Scouts said he wanted to do something to try and clean up the area. We were shocked and appalled by the volume of strewn litter and discarded rubbish that was present, said Gareth, a civil engineer who builds bridges.

Good Talent Media launches free media training for not-for-profits
December 18, 2020 3:21
In 2021, Melbourne-based agency Good Talent Media will host a complimentary masterclass in driving critical policy change and funding for not-for-profits.
The announcement:
A Melbourne-based communications and lobbying agency is giving NFPs free advocacy and campaign advice to help drive critical policy change and funding.
Good Talent Media (GTM) – staffed by ex journalists who specialise in the NFP sector – is launching the ‘Campaigning and Lobbying’ Masterclass in January over concerns government will defund important services, and suggests NFPs need to line up funding and campaigns in 2021.
GTM says there are concerns in the disability sector, for example, that group services in metro and regional areas will close unless funding arrangements change.
