“I really wanted to! In all those boot-camp scenes where I’m teaching him how to do up his top button, make his bed, lace his shoelaces…” Modine says. “He just got weirder and weirder as he went into the world his character was entering into.”

Hamish Linklater and Lily Rabe have acted together a few times over the course of their eight-year relationship without too many issues. But when they were filming their most recent project â he plays a former predator, sheâs a survivor in witness protection â the couple stopped bringing their work home with them.
The new Amazon Prime limited series âTell Me Your Secrets,â premiering Friday, involves Emma (Rabe), who is starting a new life after an encounter with a killer, and John (Linklater), an ex-serial predator hired to track her down. Amy Brenneman plays Mary, a mother who suspects Emma is involved in her daughterâs disappearance and hires John to find out.

Lily Rabe is best known for her multiple roles on the FX anthology horror series American Horror Story and her lead role as Claire Bennigan on the ABC science fiction series The Whispers . Rabe is also known for her film roles in Miss Stevens (2016), No Reservations (2007) and Fractured (2019). Lily, who is also a producer, has another talent.
She studied dance for 10 years and was teaching ballet at a summer arts program in Connecticut when she was approached by the program s acting instructor, who asked her to perform a monologue in the final production. That s how the acting bug bit. Performing was clearly in the blood, with mother Jill Clayburgh an actor and her father David Rabe a playwright.
