The Salem community got a first look at the new Charter Street Cemetery Welcome Center after Mayor Kim Driscoll cut a red ribbon with oversize scissors before a gathered crowd outside the Samuel Pickman House on Wednesday afternoon. We re going to cut the ribbon on - for us - what s a really historic and important day - we ve been making a number of investments in the Charter Street Cemetery, trying to make sure that we re being good stewards of that historic space, the mayor, the Pickman House s wooden front door to her back, told the day’s crowd. “And through a renewed partnership with the Peabody Essex Museum, we re going to be able to have this building where we can welcome people who are visiting the cemetery, the [Salem Witch Trials] Tercentenary Memorial, or frankly, the city at all, but primarily geared towards these spaces.
Working group launches pilot to speed up pension transfers

ViaNova Working Group is launching an initiative to automate pension transfers for corporate schemes and master trusts.
The launch will be done in collaboration with TISA Exchange (TeX) with the pilot set to process live transfers in early Autumn 2021.
They will pilot automated pension transfers using ISO 20022 messaging standards.
It aims to reduce costs for all participants, while improving effiency and reducing risk.
The pilot will involve pension administrators Willis Towers Watson, Capita, Barnett Waddingham, and Mercer.
TeX chair David Moffat said: “We are really pleased to be a part of this pilot and to be able to support improvements in the industry to better serve pension administrators and the end customers.
So far, DC plans have largely been focused on the onset of auto-enrolment and changes to the regulatory framework - be it the ‘charge cap, ‘pension freedoms or consultations around ‘value for money , says Annabel Tonry, Executive Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM).Download

JONESBORO, Ark. (4/18/21) – Carter Holt delivered a quality start and Blake McCutchen drove in three runs to lift the Arkansas State baseball team to a 5-3 win over UT Arlington Sunday at Tomlinson Stadium-Kell Field.
Holt tossed a season-long six innings, allowing just two runs on six hits with five strikeouts for his first quality start, the second of the season for the Red Wolves (10-19, 5-7 SBC). A-State’s pitching only walked one batter and struck out seven in the win over the Mavericks (16-19, 7-5) to salvage the final game of the series.
