David Bowie s Lazarus musical to be streamed online next month

The Man Who Fell to Earth (1963), was penned by Bowie alongside Enda Walsh. On January 8, 2021, when Bowie would have turned 74, fans will be able to watch the UK premiere of a filmed version of the performance online. David Bowie s covers of John Lennon and Bob Dylan are being released on vinyl

What a treat for Bowie fans, as these songs have remained unreleased until now.  The covers of John Lennon s Mother and Bob Dylan s Tryin To Get To Heaven will be released on a special 7 vinyl on what would have been Bowie s 74th birthday on January 8th. Fans can get their hands on one of 1000 limited edition cream coloured records, or one of the 7,147 black numbered vinyl records. The songs will be released five years after Bowie s death.  To mark what would have been David Bowie’s 74th birthday, two previously unreleased cover versions, John Lennon’s MOTHER and Bob Dylan’s TRYIN’ TO GET TO HEAVEN, will be released as a limited edition 7” single on 8th January next year. Both tracks on the seven-inch vinyl “Birthday Single” limited to 8,147 copies, including 1,000 pressed on cream vinyl, as well as a digital release  were recorded in the studio by Bowie in 1997 and 1998.
