U S Steel makes big purchase of NanoSteel patents to produce more advanced high-strength steels

Steelmakers normally deal in tonnage, but U.S. Steel is going nano. The Pittsburgh-based steelmaker, one of Northwest Indiana s largest employers, is buying flat-rolled patents and trademarks from NanoSteel Co. to expand its offerings of advanced high-strength steels, which have become more popular with automakers and other customers in recent years. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. More than 12,000 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19 since March 2020. There are real names, faces and human stories behind that staggering number.
