Even if they are playing in their home stadium, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter Super Bowl 55 as the underdogs against Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs.
But Jim “Mattress Mack” McIngvale, a furniture store owner from Houston, believes that the Buccaneers can pull off the upset. In fact, he believes in them so much that he was willing to place the largest wager in Super Bowl 55 and one of the largest in the game’s history.
McIngvale, who is known for making large sports bets, made another one on Wednesday, placing $3.46 million on Tampa Bay at +3.5. According to ESPN’s David Purdum, he made the bet in Colorado Springs on the DraftKings mobile betting app. McIngvale could win as much as $2.72 million if the Bucs cover the spread.
