PORTAGE COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - A 27-year-old school coach was arrested for trying to meet a teenager on social media with the intent to sexually harm them, according to the Portage County Sheriff.
Court documents show Tyler Coia attempted to meet a 14-year-old via Snapchat.
It is not clear if the 14-year-old was a male or a female.
Coia, of Ravenna, pleaded not guilty to one count of importuning at his arraignment on Dec. 29 and is out on a $25,000 bond.
A MAN charged with an alleged campaign of domestic abuse and death threats against his ex-partner repeatedly bit her face and trapped her in a loft, it s claimed. Owen Murray is accused of tormenting the woman at locations in Greenock and faces a catalogue of 16 allegations of terrorising her between February 17 and April 19. Murray, 24, is said by prosecutors to have brandished a knife at her and threatened to murder her as well as allegedly threatening to burn her and her father s house down. It is further claimed that he compelled the woman to climb a ladder and enter a loft space before allegedly removing the ladder and trapping her.
Many of our tenants enjoyed celebrating Thanksgiving with their family and friends. On the afternoon of Oct. 20, May Dearborn and her family got together on the seventh floor before her son Garry and daughter-in-law Elaine leave for the winter in the United States. Others present were Mary’s son Bruce. His wife Bev was unable to come. They are from Unity. Also there were Blair and Anna and May’s daughter Norma Combres, all from Richard. Her husband was unable to come. Elaine and Tim Kuffert from Spiritwood joined them, too. Mary says they had a wonderful afternoon visiting and eating. She wants to extend a big thank you to her family. I can imagine what a lovely time you would have with your family and friends, Mary.

Customers of Kathleen’s Hallmark, a longtime McMinnville business, reacted with sympathy and outrage last week after learning the store had been given 30 days to vacate its location in the Town Center shopping center.
The timeline has been extended to the end of January, said David Toth, who owns the store with his father, Les Toth. But the gift, card and collectible shop still needs to relocate.
Toth has been heartened by the support shown by his customers.
“This shows what a strong community we have,” he said. “It shows me we’ve done something right, and it makes me feel good.”
A SHOPLIFTER allowed bail after plundering £230 worth of items despite having TWENTY pending court cases against her has stolen again. Rhonda McDonald helped herself to booze and soft drinks from Greenock s Iceland store in her latest failed raid on local retail premises. The 39-year-old has finally been locked up ahead of having a catalogue of deferred sentence cases dealt with at the sheriff court on December 23. Early last month she was caught stealing gift sets from Boots in the Oak Mall to the value of £231.50. She was initially remanded in custody on that matter by Sheriff Joseph Hughes after the lawman told her it was too much of a risk not to lock her up.
