Two Toronto-area nurses are airing their frustrations over how the Ontario government let their pandemic pay expire while continuing to pay boosted wages to doctors, some of whom are doing the same work as nurses due to COVID-19.

Province not sharing benchmarks it wants to see in most categories for tracking virus spread.
Ontario’s top doctor says he wants to see daily COVID-19 case numbers drop well below 1,000 before public health restrictions are rolled back in the province, but one expert says several other metrics should also be considered before lockdowns can ease.
Provincial health officials are looking at a variety of factors when it comes to reopening, according to the Ministry of Health but the province would not provide the specific benchmarks it needs to see in those categories when asked

TORONTO Due to a stable and reliable increase in vaccine supply, this week, the Ontario government will further expand booking eligibility for COVID-19 vaccination appointments across the province.
“With additional supply our government is increasing access to the COVID-19 vaccines in the communities hardest hit by COVID-19,” said Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health. “Continuing to focus on getting vaccines in the arms of those most at risk will help to stop the spread of COVID-19 in these communities, protect our hospital capacity and save lives. I continue to urge everyone to sign up to receive the vaccine as soon as it’s your turn.”
