Houston-based pumping solutions and MROP products distributor and supply chain provider DXP Enterprises reported its 2021 first quarter results on Friday, showing year-over-year sales that are still in the red but improving, while sequential sales showed solid growth that was driven by acquisitions the company completed during Q4 2020.
The company posted total Q1 sales of $246 million, down 18.4 percent year-over-year (-17.1 percent on a daily sales basis). That year-over-year decline has shrunk from 32.7 percent in Q3 of last year and 21.2 percent in Q4. Sequentially, Q1 sales improved 5.6 percent, on par with the 5.7 percent increase from Q3 to Q4 2020.

Sydney-based online casino games maker Lightning Box is set to launch some of its most popular titles with major online gambling operator Betway, news emerged Thursday.
As part of a newly signed content deal, the supplier has delivered some of its most iconic slots, including Chicken Fox 5x Skillstar, Kalahari Safari, Extreme Fishing, Blown Away, Spartan Fire, Eagle Sun, and Lightning Leopard, among others, to Betway.
The integration was carried out
via SG Digital, the online gaming division of Scientific Games, and follows an earlier integration of Lightning Box slots with the iGaming operator via Microgaming.
Founded in 2004 by Aristocrat and IGT veteran game designers Peter Causley and David Little, Lightning Box is an ever-growing developer and supplier of omni-channel video slot solutions for the global casino industry.
CNHI ALBANY The politically influential teachers union has put its clout behind legislation that would give early retirement incentives to educators for both public school districts and state and community colleges. New York State United Teachers, a union with which the United University Professions for SUNY faculty members is affiliated, is hoping the legislation is approved by both the Assembly and Senate before the legislative session closes in just six weeks. According to the bill authored by Assemblyman Thomas Abinanti, D-Westchester County, the incentive would be temporarily open to employees who are at least 55 years of age and have at least 25 years of service. Currently, 30 years of service are required for employees in these positions to retire without penalty.

announced May 3 that it has completed the acquisition of Carter & Verplanck, Inc., a distributor of products and services exclusively focused on serving the water and wastewater markets.
Founded in 1927, Carter & Verplanck is headquartered in Tampa, FL and focuses on serving the Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama markets. Carter & Verplanck provides bio-solid & residual, potable water management and wastewater treatments solutions, guiding clients through an entire lifecycle of a project starting with design and engineering, through installation and start-up, as well as ongoing field support. CVI goes to market as a high service branch-based operator and has approximately 17 employees.
