Leaders of major game companies in Sussex are considering launching a Brighton Games Festival, in order to raise the profile of the area’s games cluster.
The discussion took place at a virtual Wired Sussex Round Table, where local industry businesses gathered to discuss the findings of the Sussex games cluster report. The report, put together by Wired Sussex, analysed ways in which the sector could continue to grow and address challenges.
First Base, which is behind the construction of the city’s newest neighbourhood, Edward Street Quarter, produced the report in partnership with Wired Sussex.
Those in attendance suggested launching a Brighton Games Festival, in order to attract Government support and bring more attention to the area. There was also debate on how to brand the cluster, with the favoured option being the Brighton Area Games Cluster, since the city is so well known.

Roundtable: Is Trump culpable in Capitol attack?
Galesburg Register-Mail
Trump refuses to address his big lie
Trump has refused to concede that he lost. He has demonstrated consistently that he has no concept of truth. None. He has perpetuated the myth that he won the election by millions and his enablers have supported that blatant disregard for the facts. That disbelief in the election process created a festering notion that has emboldened a subset of U.S. citizens who sought out every wacky child eating conspiracy it could find. His meager and late attempts to calm the nation are a product of him being forced to read from a script written by his few remaining loyalists. He literally has been placed in the time out corner reserved for temper tantrum toddlers, and he still has refused to address his big lie that he won the election. He can’t take the blame alone. His bootlickers and those who fear his mob continue the deception that is still ripping apart this country.
Roundtable: What factors gave Biden the win?
Galesburg Register-Mail
Shift in suburbs benefited Biden
Biden carried better in the suburbs. Based on my readings suburbia is no longer that white bastion. More diverse suburbs were the key, but it wasn’t the diversity that held the primary key, it was education. More diverse and higher education levels swung the suburbs more to Biden and assisted in the key swing states. Also access to more voting via mail-in ballots swung heavy for Biden.
The biggest mistake Trump made was downplaying mail-in ballots and focusing on trundling down to the local polls. Here is something very interesting. In Arizona a win for Biden there were 34,000 presidential ballots that had no candidate picked. Biden beat Trump in Arizona by over 10,000 votes. People voted for other candidates but left the presidential boxes blank. That is significant. And the Libertarian candidate got MORE votes in Arizona than were registered as Libertarian. Oh
